Scott Aerospace at DSEI: A Week of Connections and Collaboration
Scott Aerospace is proud to look back on a hugely successful week at DSEI UK 2025, held at ExCeL London. With a team of thirty staff on the ground, we immersed ourselves in one of the world’s leading defence and security exhibitions, seizing the opportunity to build relationships, strengthen partnerships and showcase our commitment to innovation in defence supply-chains.
Watch: great memories from DSEI UK 2025
Relationships Matter
Throughout the week, we met with hundreds of suppliers, partners, and potential new connections. Many of these conversations took place at the Waterfront Bar & Kitchen, where a dedicated area was reserved for Scott Aerospace to welcome guests. This space became a hub of activity, allowing us to host meaningful discussions in a relaxed and engaging environment.
We were also delighted to hold important meetings with two of our key customers: MoD DE&S, the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy. Thank you Richard Whalley, Deputy Director Exports and Sales at the MOD for speaking with us. These conversations reinforced our shared priorities and underlined the trust and collaboration that continue to drive defence forward.
Till The End
Our commitment to connection didn’t stop when the exhibition halls closed. Each evening, we hosted events designed to bring people together in new and memorable ways:
Tuesday: A thought-provoking panel discussion at Boisdale of Canary Wharf, co-hosted by Scott Aerospace with our partners 4GD, Brigantes, Premium Law, Anartes and Northland, where industry leaders shared insights on operating in the defence industry as an SME, with the subject “Davids in a world of Goliaths: SMEs in the Defence Arena – why defence remains tough terrain for small, agile businesses.”
Wednesday: A lively evening of crazy golf, giving colleagues and partners the chance to unwind and connect in a fun, informal setting.
Thursday: A competitive night of darts, which proved to be a fantastic way to round off the week’s networking.
These events not only strengthened existing relationships but also created new opportunities for collaboration. On each evening, our staff were also kindly invited to partners’ events taking place across London.
All Aboard
Adding to the unique atmosphere of DSEI, four warships were docked just outside the venue. Our staff had the privilege of going aboard for guided tours, offering a rare and valuable perspective on the platforms that we support and supply with equipment, repair services and more. Scott Aerospace are proud to support the Royal Navy.
Key Connections
We met with too many great organisations throughout the week to mention here. Among the many organisations we engaged with, which included new connections and existing partners, we were pleased to meet with Terma and Chemring, both of whom are important players in the defence industry. Ahead of attending DEFSEC in Canada later this month, it was great to meet Davie Shipbuilding. These conversations highlighted exciting opportunities for future collaboration.
Thank You
We’d like to thank everyone we met at DSEI UK 2025 for making this quite possibly the world’s best defence expo. Gratitude also goes out to the crews of HMS Mersey, HMS Example, FGS Sachsen and BNS Pollux for inviting us aboard. Special mention goes to Waterfront Bar & Kitchen for hosting our “stand” – and our diligent colleague Amy for organising the whole week.
Thank you!
Special thanks to our colleague Amy for organising our whole week at DSEI.
Looking Ahead
DSEI UK 2025 was more than just an exhibition, it was a week of forging connections, sharing knowledge, and celebrating the strength of our industry. For Scott Aerospace, it reaffirmed our position as a trusted partner to our customers and a dynamic collaborator within the wider defence community.
We leave London with a wealth of new knowledge and contacts, ready to build on the momentum of this remarkable week.
