This week Scott Aerospace had the pleasure of attending DPRTE 2026 in Farnborough. DPRTE is the Defence Procurement, Research, Technology and Exportability conference and brings together a broad cross-section of the UK defence industry, including many SMEs.

A rare spare moment during Meet the Buyer

Thanks to Make UK Defence, Scott Aerospace ran non-stop Meet the Buyer sessions throughout both days of the conference, giving suppliers the chance to talk to us about their solutions, ask us questions and build connections. Each of the 15-minute meetings proved highly valuable, with candid discussions quickly creating strong new opportunities for collaboration. A few familiar faces were also present. These kinds of events are hugely valuable to SMEs, especially in an industry where supply chains are often complex and collaboration is so important.

It was widely acknowledged that this was the best DPRTE yet; with great speeches, stands and meetings across the board. We look forward to attending again in 2027.
