Scott Aerospace joins the British Valve and Actuator Association (BVAA)
We are delighted to announce that Scott Aerospace Ltd has joined the British Valve and Actuator Association (BVAA). As a new member, we are honoured to become part of such a respected and collaborative industry community.
Scott Aerospace is a trusted provider of mission-critical equipment, dedicated to reliability, precision, and excellence. We play a vital role in supporting operational readiness by ensuring that military teams receive the equipment they need on time and to the highest standards.
Our primary customer is the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD), and we are proud to support the MaST (Marine Systems Support Transformation) framework to deliver high performance equipment and technical expertise to critical defence operations across the Royal Navy.
We have recently been awarded the Submarine Mechanical and Secondary Steam Equipment Support (SMASSES) contract by the Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA). The contract covers spares, repairs, technical services, and post design support for key mechanical and steam propulsion systems. This includes both primary mechanical systems and secondary steam propulsion equipment, such as turbines, valves, and ancillary systems. The SMASSES responsibilities also include obsolescence management, defect investigation, a dedicated Helpdesk, and task-based engineering to maintain operational readiness for Britain’s strategic undersea warfare capability.
As we step into the BVAA network, we’re excited to connect, collaborate, and contribute to a community that shares our values of engineering excellence and trusted delivery.
Please feel free to reach out – we’d love to connect with fellow members and industry professionals.
