Scott Aerospace was proud to attend a prestigious event at Canada House in London, hosted by the Canadian High Commission, as we continue to expand our international presence and strengthen our relationships within the Canadian defence and maritime sectors.
Canada-UK Collaboration
The event provided an excellent opportunity to engage with key figures from across defence, procurement and trade. Attendees heard from distinguished speakers including The Honourable Bill Blair, Brigadier-General Jonathan Bouchard, Stephen Fuhr MP, Judith Bennett, Major General JD Smyth, Trade Commissioner Mark Phelps, and Senior Investment Officer Leslie Venon. Their perspectives offered valuable insight into the evolving opportunities for organisations operating within the Canadian and UK defence ecosystems.
For Scott Aerospace, the discussions were particularly significant as they directly support our strategic ambition to establish and grow Scott Aerospace Canada. As we continue building our presence in the Canadian market, events such as this provide an invaluable platform for understanding the priorities, challenges and opportunities shaping the sector.
A particular highlight of the day was the opportunity to speak with Stephen Fuhr PC MP CD, Canada's Minister for Defence Procurement. The conversation reinforced the importance of strong partnerships and collaboration within Canada's defence supply chain and provided further encouragement as Scott Aerospace continues to deepen its role within the Canadian defence and naval support community.
Expanding internationally is a key part of our long-term growth strategy, and Canada represents an exciting market for Scott Aerospace. With strong ties between the two nations and a shared commitment to supporting defence capability, there are significant opportunities for collaboration across aerospace, defence procurement and naval support services.
We are also incredibly grateful for the ongoing support and guidance provided by the team at the High Commission of Canada in the United Kingdom. In particular, we would like to thank Pierre Kowlessar and Leslie Venon, whose expertise and support continue to be instrumental as we develop our Canadian operations and explore new opportunities for growth.
Events like this underline the strength of the Canada–UK relationship and highlight the value of bringing together government, industry and defence stakeholders to share ideas and identify opportunities for mutual success. The discussions and connections made throughout the day reinforced the considerable potential for future collaboration between our two countries.
